From 2021 - 2022, James worked for the City of Canning and designed the Wanju Welcome Neighbourhoods approach to create neighbourhoods of welcome. The community-led approach to revitalisation seeks to welcome (“Wanju”) everyone to the neighbourhood, celebrate the diversity and nurture connections between people. It’s about working together to breathe new life and vitality into the neighbourhood to ensure it is safe, vibrant and accessible.
