Social Entrepreneurship Subject

In 2011, O+ approached The University of Melbourne with a proposal to launch a Social Entrepreneurship Subject. The proposal gained support from Vice-Chancellor Glyn Davis and the Faculty of Business and Economics, in particular Dr Ben Neville offered to develop and coordinate the subject. The subject equips students with the ability to work in this exciting sector, however, the unique element of the subject is students work on their own ideas during the course and at the end have the chance to secure $5k in seed funding. In the first year of the subject, O+ contributed $2,500 in seed funding which was matched by the Bendigo Bank to form the inaugural $5k of seed funding.
