In 2012, we launched KereKere South at Boyd Community Hub in Southbank. Boyd was the City of Melbourne’s first community hub and included a Library, Maternal and Child Health Nurses, playgroup and creative spaces. KereKere South was initiated to provide a more supportive workplace for KereKere staff along with an opportunity to be involved in the development of the emerging Southbank community. The KereKere South team worked closely with the Boyd Community Animator and launched a range of community celebrations like Ace of Hearts, Ham Cup, Fat Fridays and Spin the Wheel.
